April 1 – July 9, 2016 – Lieu du Design (Paris, France)
IREPA LASER is exhibiting its CLAD® process in Paris at “3D PRINTING, THE FACTORY OF THE FUTURE”, which is a partnership between the Lieu du Design and the Centre Pompidou. This first French exhibition on additive manufacturing, often referred as the 4th Industrial Revolution, highlights its industrial, economic, creative and social issues, through achievements in the field of design, architecture, transport, fashion, health, research or food.Curated by the designer François Brument, this exhibition is set up in the form of a path which shows all the potential in different fields thanks to a variety of objects displayed. From April 1st to July 9th at the Lieu du Design in Paris, visitors will have the opportunity to discover new uses and economic opportunities offered by 3D printing.
During this exhibition, a book published by Dunod is available for sale. A dedicated page is specially dedicated to the FALAFEL research program in which IREPA LASER was involved. This program initiated in 2014 aimed at manufacturing components for aerospace with the CLAD® (Construction Laser Additive Directe) and SLM (Selective Laser Melting) processes. The result has shown the capability to produce metallic parts (titanium, steel….) in large sizes (Ø 600 mm – h 700 mm) up to 300kg, such as a warm and cold air mixer.
